Rules and Regulations
Rules and regulations for the CDLA are more specific rules that apply to the management and administration of lacrosse in Calgary. Rules and regulations provide specific guidance on such items as:
- Use of underaged players
- Affiliate players
- Player transfers
- Player suspensions
In some cases, the CDLA has modified Canadian Lacrosse Association rules to make them more ’severe’ or specific. For example, in 2008, the CDLA introduced the ‘repeat offender’ rule. This rule is as follows:
| Infraction | CDLA Position | |
| 3rd Incident | 5 or 10 minute majors, misconducts, or any combination. | Additional 1 game suspension. |
| 4th Incident | 5 or 10 minute majors, misconducts, or any combination. | Additional 2 game suspension. |
| 5th Incident | 5 or 10 minute majors, misconducts, or any combination. | Refer to discipline committee. Not eligible to play until committee meets. |
